A long time ago I had some pine cones. I planted several seeds from them in little pots. The seeds grew to little trees, too big for their pots. So they went in the garden, and now I have two trees full of pine cones.

The books are both written by women, one in 1811 and the other in 2023. There are troubled young people in them. Will there be happy endings?
